Privacy Policy

Effective Date: August 1, 2026  |  Last Updated: August 1, 2026

Short version: MathHive does not collect, store, or share your personal information on any server. Everything stays on your device. We have no user accounts and no tracking.

1. Who We Are

MathHive is developed and operated by TTCS Cloud ("we," "us," or "our"). If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, contact us at support@ttcscloud.com.

2. Information We Collect

MathHive is designed with privacy first. Here is exactly what happens with your data:

We do NOT collect:

Data stored locally on your device only:

This data lives in your device's local storage (UserDefaults and app sandbox). It is never transmitted to our servers. It is deleted if you delete the app.

3. Camera Access

MathHive requests access to your camera solely to let you photograph or scan printed and handwritten math problems. The camera feed is processed entirely on your device using Apple's VisionKit framework. No image, photo, or video is ever uploaded to any server by MathHive.

4. Microphone and Speech Recognition

MathHive requests microphone access so you can speak a math problem instead of typing it. Your voice is transcribed locally on your device using Apple's Speech framework. The audio is not recorded, saved, or sent anywhere. You can revoke microphone access at any time in iOS Settings → MathHive.

5. Subscriptions and Payments

MathHive offers optional paid subscriptions (Pro Monthly, Pro Annual). All payment processing is handled entirely by Apple's App Store. We never see, receive, or store your credit card, Apple ID, or any payment information. Your subscription status is verified directly between the app and Apple's servers. For Apple's privacy practices, see apple.com/privacy.

6. Children's Privacy

MathHive is designed for students of all ages, including children under 13. We take children's privacy seriously:

Parents or guardians who believe their child has inadvertently provided personal information should contact us at support@ttcscloud.com and we will delete it promptly (though we do not believe this is possible given our no-data-collection architecture).

7. Third-Party Services

MathHive uses the following Apple system frameworks. These are part of iOS and governed by Apple's privacy policy:

We do not use any third-party analytics SDKs (e.g., Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude) or advertising networks (e.g., Google AdMob).

8. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with any third party, because we do not collect personal data in the first place. The only external communication the app makes is to Apple's servers for subscription verification.

9. Data Security

Because all data remains on your device, security is provided by iOS's built-in sandboxing, encryption at rest (standard on all modern iPhones), and your device's passcode/Face ID. We encourage you to keep your iOS version up to date.

10. Data Retention

Your on-device data (progress, preferences) persists until you delete the MathHive app. You can reset all local data by deleting and reinstalling the app. We have no server-side data to delete.

11. Your Rights

Since we hold no personal data about you on our servers, the following rights are fulfilled automatically:

If you are in the European Union, United Kingdom, or California, the above satisfies GDPR, UK GDPR, and CCPA requirements respectively, given our no-collection architecture.

12. Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how data is collected or processed, we will update this page and change the "Last Updated" date at the top. We will notify you within the app for material changes. Continued use of MathHive after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
